On personal development.
In the advertising industry, there's a disturbing lack of investment in professional development. Agencies, whose budgets are constantly getting squeezed, tend not to put much (if any) money behind training and learning, because a) it's hard to justify the line item to the holding company in New York, and b) talent moves around a lot. So training falls by the wayside. Which is as unfortunate as it is counterproductive.
Learning is a lifelong endeavour. For me, it doesn't start or end with having acquired my Master's degree. It's about cultivating curiosity on an ongoing basis, and tending to the garden of my mind. It's a practice, which by definition requires ongoing effort and continuing reflection. I look at education as a way of being, not a sporadic activity. For this reason, I am currently pursuing a doctorate through Athabasca University's DBA program.

Finally, I have obtained Level 1 and Level 2 certification in Creative Problem Solving: Developing Creative Thinking Skills for the 21st Century, taught by renowned Department Chair Gerard Puccio of the International Center for Studies in Creativity.
